CLASSIC RHYTHMS PIANO STUDIO

Greetings to you all. Lots to talk about at the present time. Newsletters are now resuming again after much delay. There hasn’t really been any news to report for a while and during adjustment to some of my activities. Anyway, so far it’s been a nice Spring and Summer.

Some of you have been on a different schedule while school is out so be aware of resuming the school schedule again the first week of August. This is the first full week of school for Maury County so we will get back on track the beginning of that month.

Fall is a time when new students are usually added to the schedule, so if you know of someone who wants to take, please be aware of the limited space we have and let them know that openings will be filled first come, first serve.

I want to invite you all to be sure to visit our web site: www.classicrhythms.com

Mr. Tim Hinds does an excellent job of making it look great, so look through the changes and additions and enjoy.

LOOKING AHEAD:

Monday and Tuesday students, beware that July is a 5 lesson month for you guys.

Wednesday and Thursday students, be aware that August is a 5 lesson month for you. Let’s work really hard to make these extra lessons work for you.

CLASS PIANO:

Please mark your calendar for Friday, July 20th from 4:00-5:00pm.

The focus for the class will be on piano duet performing. Students will perform and participate in piano duets. Everyone is invited to participate. Plan to have some fun. Parents, you are welcome to stay and watch.

PARENTS:

Many of you have expressed interest in stepping up the ability of your student by moving away from the beginning keyboard they have been playing on. Not everyone can afford or has room in your home for a full size piano, but the option of a weighted keyboard is a good one. I will have in the studio, a Roland weighted keyboard that you are welcome to take a look at. It doesn’t belong to the studio, but we are getting access to it off/on during the next couple months, so take advantage of this time to see if this is something you might like to look into. Attached is a list of dealers in the Nashville area that have this keyboard. If you’d like more detailed info, there will be information on the bulletin board in the studio and I will be glad to copy that for you as well.

The regular starter keyboards are wonderful in the beginning, but as students become more advanced, they will need a piano with real feel and a pedal, so please realize this importance and consider it highly.

FALL:

We will be out of town on vacation the week of October 8-12. Please mark your calendars for no lessons that week.

I encourage every student to spend lots of time at the piano. Parents don’t forget to ask your students to play for you. This will motivate them and give them encouragement, and remember lots of PRAISE!!!!

Sincerely,

Cindy Kinnard
